Sedgwick - LOA - Can they make me get an end date?

OK, I don't believe this is true so need some advice, please read on… SO, I had a couple surgeries back in February and March.

I took a LOA and came back after 3 weeks (all of this despite my doctor wanting me to wait at least six weeks). The doc okayd my return as long as I get accommodations so I wasn't overdoing it. It took eight weeks for Sedgwick to approve my paperwork so I was accommodated at all in that eight wks so my body took a lot longer to heal then it should have.

Well when Sedgwick talked to my Dr and got everything they needed from them they ended up giving me permanent accommodations due to many different complications of the surgeries that I had. My coach came up to me the other day and said I need to call Sedgwick and get an end date on my accommodations…

Why would I need to do that? Sedgwick and my Dr said my accommodations won't end unless I go to a Dr and get it all canceled. So, my question is, can she make me get an end date when Sedgwick already said they don't end? It's just permanent accommodations?

Oh and my accommodations say that they marked permanent are sit when needed and no lifting anything over 10 lbs which as a cashier I don't lift more than 10 lbs anyways and I know my body's limitations so I don't overdue it anyways.. I scan big items in the cart and if something too heavy gets put up onto the belts I either ask the customer to put it back down or get a coworkers assistance if needed. So, my accommodations really don't affect my actual working ability and I am good, so I'm just confused on if they can really MAKE me get an end date even though I still struggle after all this time after surgery.
